Wrestler Hulk Hogan’s son, 17-year-old Nick Bollea (known to viewers as Nick Hogan), was involved in a car accident earlier this evening in which he was seriously injured. His passenger was listed as critically injured.

Bollea was driving a Toyota Supra at a “high rate of speed” around 7:30 PM Sunday evening, according to police in Clearwater, Florida. The car then jumped across a raised median and slammed into a palm tree. The car was destroyed, and the jaws of life were needed to rescue Bollea and his passenger. Both of them were flown to a Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Nick Bollea is a professional driver and signed with Dodge on the professional drift circuit. He got his Formula Drift license in 2006.

Police informed Hulk Hogan of the car accident, and you can watch video of him on the scene here. Hogan and his family are in a private waiting room at Bayfront Medical Center as Nick is being treated. The wrestler declined to speak to the media Sunday evening, but plans on making a statement Monday morning.
