Soccer player Ashley Cole has threatened to sue The Sun tabloid if they publish the pictures of him and a blonde friend having ‘intellectual conversation’ while having fun together in Collection nightspot in London on Friday.
Cole was arrested the same night after he got drunk and did not cooperate with the security officers. He was taking part in a Chelsea Football Club charity dinner.
‘I felt I was being harassed by paparazzi and while complaining to the police about this at the scene they did warn me to calm down, a warning that I regrettably did not heed. However, I do want to make clear that I swore in frustration at the paparazzi’s behavior. I would never disrespect police officers in that way.’
Besides this, his pictures with the alleged blonde in a blue dress has now come under the scanner. He had reportedly promised his wife Cheryl Cole that he’ll not go clubbing while she’s away, after the couple almost broke off following the discloser of an alleged affair between Ashley and a friend.
Onlookers claimed that he was talking to a blonde in a blue minidress. One told The Sun: ‘She placed her hands on his lap as she leaned in to speak into his right ear.’
He is now planning to sue the newspaper, if they were to opt to publish the picture, on the grounds of disruption of privacy under the Human Rights Act.
Cheryl is obviously very disturbed after the event and Ashley will have a face-off with her after she returns from a trip to Africa for charity. She is currently a part of a team of celebrities trekking on the world’s second highest peak.
