As a biography, Jennie Finch was born in La Mirada, California on September 3rd, 1980 to father Doug Finch and mother, Bev Finch. Jennie has been playing softball since she was 5 years old and pitching since age 8. While at La Mirada High School, Jennie lettered four times in softball, and twice in basketball and volleyball.
Jennie would attend the University of Arizona, where she was a three time All American pitcher and first baseman. Jennie would have a total of 109 victories while at the U of A. She struck out more than 1028 batters. Her #27 jersey was retired by the U of A on May 9, 2003.
Jennie would help the American team win a gold medal at the 2004 Athens, Greece Summer Olympics.
Since the 2004 Olympics, Jennie’s fame skyrocketed. She posed on the cover of Sports Illustrated and hosted a segment on This Week In Baseball. She is married to Arizona Diamondbacks pitcher Casey Daigle and has one son, Ace, born on May 4, 2006.
