Super Bowl XLIII MVP Santonio Holmes got a brand new Cadillac Escalade Hybrid as his prize from General Motors. The car was given in a private ceremony as GM didn’t want to be seen in the public eye after receiving bailout money. Holmes is the sixth MVP in eight years to choose this particular Cadillac model as his prize.

“Santonio Holmes has selected an $85,275 2009 Cadillac Escalade Hybrid Platinum 2WD, loaded with such goodies as four DVD screens, as his prize for being chosen as Super Bowl XLIII MVP, Cadillac said on Monday.”

The Super Bowl game was devoid of any presence of Cadillac this year. There were no cars on the field or the hotel of the press conference and there was no board where the player marks his choice of the vehicle. The company received $10m from the Federal Govt. this year and was avoiding such exposure.

Meanwhile, Holmes also made his customary Disney World trip recently. He rode in an open car with Mickey Mouse and waved a towel in front of hundreds of fans. Fellow teammate Ben Roethlisberger was also invited for the trip and he will be going later on after attending The David Letterman Show in New York.

Both of them were filmed right on the field after the Super Bowl game, for their “I’m going to Disney World” commercial.
