Meet Will Graves, an American amateur basketball player who plays for the University of North Carolina as a shooting guard. See a video and a biography of Will Graves here.
Graves was suspended by coach Roy Williams because he couldn’t maintain ‘the standards of a Carolina player’. The suspension came on the heels of Carolina’s 108-91 win over Maryland. It is seen as a wrong decision as far as the career of a young and emerging basketball star is concerned.
“I respect the decision Coach Williams made and apologize to him and everyone who loves Carolina basketball for putting him in that position. I promise to do my best in practice to make my teammates better and will work hard to try and regain my position on the team for next season.”
As a biography, Will Graves was born on 15th May, 1988 in Greensboro, N.C. so his age is 20. He attended the Dudley High School where he led the school to back-to-back 3-A championships. He was named the Most Outstanding Player in the state title game of 2006. The same year he was named the North Carolina High School Player of the Year and was selected to the second-team all-state. He majored in sociology.
Graves played all but three games as a freshman in the 2007-08 season. He has good rebound percentage and was fourth in the team in the number of three-pointers. he scored 30 points in the Carolina All-Stars Classic game.
