The top-ranked female golfer in the world, Lorena Ochoa, is engaged to Andres Conesa who is the CEO of one of the companies which sponsors Lorena.
Local media reported Conesa popped the question late last month as the couple vacationed in Europe. Hola magazine’s Mexico edition said the pair was planning a wedding at the end of this year.
Conesa heads Aeromexico airline and has been dating the lady for some time now. The wedding, which will take place in December if everything goes fine, might mark the end of the golfing road for the Mexican beauty who has always said that she would give priority to her family over career.
“I don’t have my life planned. I just know that I’m not going to play golf forever,” Ochoa told Golfweek last year. “It could be three years; it could be seven years. … Hopefully, God has a good plan for me.”
Her very good friend and Golf HOF inductee Annika Sorenstam also got married this week after taking retirement a month ago.
