Supermodel Niki Taylor, who is married to NASCAR driver Burney Lamar, is expecting her first child. You might remember her as the host of the TV show ‘Make Me a Supermodel‘.
“”We have a baby girl coming,” says Burney. “Yeah, we’re so excited. I’m ready for a baby already; I want to meet my baby,” Niki tells ET.
“It took us awhile,” adds Burney. “Once we stopped worrying about it, we were blessed with a baby.”
Niki met with a horrific accident in 2001 when her car crashed into a utility pole. She was in coma for almost 50 days and her recovery is truly miraculous. Now the former Sports Illustrated model is a happily married woman, all set to be a mother.
The couple married in December 2006 and Niki already has two children from her previous marriage. She also shared her feelings about the recent death of John Travolta’s son.
“They seem like a very strong family and very spiritual people as well,” she observes. “You never are going to get over having a death in your family. It’s going to take time. I’m still healing from the death of my sister.”
Her 17-year-old sister Krissy died from an unidentified heart disease in 1995.
