Swedish golf star Annika Sorenstam got married to her manager and boyfriend Mike McGee, over the weekend. The couple had been dating for three years and they wed in a small ceremony held at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Orlando.
Mike McGee is the son of former PGA Tour player Jerry McGee and has been the director of Annika’s business brand ‘ANNIKA‘ since December 2006. The brand controls a foundation, a fragrance line, a clothing line and five golf courses around the world, along with a wine label and an annual golf tournament.
Travis Wilhelm, the minister at Christian Campus House at Trine University in Angola, Ind., officiated the ceremony. Swedish friend Maria Bertilskold was the maid of honor, and Stan McCamon of East Palestine, Ohio, was McGee’s best man.
Sorenstam will not be honeymooning anytime soon, instead she will be hosting her signature Annika Invitational Golf Tournament for junior players at the Ginn Reunion Resort. She is also scheduled to appear at the PGA Merchandise Show and at a skins game with Lorena Ochoa and Paula Creamer.
Annika took retirement from the sport just weeks ago. She won a record 70 LPGA titles during her career.
