Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao recently became a father for the fourth time when his wife, Jinkee, gave birth to a baby girl at the Los Angeles Memorial Hospital in California. This is the couple’s second girl and is named Queen Elizabeth.
“I want to see my new granddaughter already. I hope they come home so I can hug and kiss my granddaughter,” Manny’s mother Dionisia said. “I told them to have as many as a dozen children since they can afford to anyway. The more, the merrier! It’s all right to have many children if the parents can bring them up and send them to school. If my husband and I practiced birth control, we may not have had Manny.”
Jinkee was reportedly driven to the hospital at around 7:00 pm and she was accompanied by Manny, her twin sister Janet and their mother Rosalina. Pacquiao was inside the delivery room and it was he only who cut the umbilical cord of the baby.
Pacquiao, who capped the last year as his best in career beating legends like Oscar De La Hoya in the process of defending his featherweight WBC title, is now scheduled to fight Ricky Hatton in a dream bout in Las Vegas on May 2nd. Either Thomas & Mack Center or MGM Grand Garden will host the match.
“Ricky’s preference was the U.K., but he’s realized that was not the best place for this fight, just like the Philippines wasn’t,” Richard Schaefer told the LA Times. “This is right in the middle.”
