She had to pull out of the semi-final of the East West Bank Classic on Saturday due to a lower left leg strain. She announced earlier yesterday that she withdrew from next week’s Rogers Cup in Toronto as well. She stated on her website:
“Unfortunately at this stage of the summer and after many matches over the course of the past 2 weeks, my body is in need of rest. The Rogers Cup is one of the Tour’s premier events and I am looking forward to playing there in the future.”
