It took only 14 seconds for Seth Petruzelli to knock out Kimbo Slice in the first round of The Elite XC: Heat Main Event this evening . Petruzelli was not originally scheduled to fight Kimbo, and was a last minute replacement for Ken Shamrock, after he had to drop out of the fight because of an injury. Petruzelli said after the fight:

“It was an opportunity to step up … and do what I know I can do.”

Seth Petruzelli Biography

As a biography, Seth Petruzelli was born on December 3, 1979 in Cape Coral, Florida, so his age is 29. When Seth was younger, his father enrolled him in a karate class. Seth attended Bishop Verot High School as a freshman where he competed in karate. He transferred to Mariner High School during his sophomore year to take advantage of the school’s elite wrestling program. In addition to wrestling, he was a member of the football and track team. Even while lettering in all three sports, he continued his karate training.

Petruzelli, also known as “The Silverback”, would later become the full contact Kumite karate champ, Cage Wars Superfight Champion and World Team Kumite Champion.

He appeared in The Ultimate Fighter 2 and made it to the semi-finals, but was beaten by Dan Christison in an elimination fight.
