Top European footballers have come together for the first time to launch a children’s cookery book ‘Eat For Goals‘ to inspire obese kids to keep away from from unhealthy foods like burgers and go for healthy vegetables.

The players who contributed to the book with their recipes include English midfielder Steven Gerrard, Barcelona player Thierry Henry and Manchester United forward Ruud Van Nistelrooy. The book has been launched in association with the European Commission and the football body UEFA.

“It shows young players and lovers of football how to cook and eat like champions,” said Steven Gerrard, captain of Liverpool who included his personal favorite aromatic sea bream

The book also gives the nutrition values of the food ingredients apart from the delicious recipes. The book is aimed at the children from the age group of 5 to 11.
