Meet Cristiane Rozeira De Souza Silva, a Brazilian footballer who was voted the top scoring female player during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. See photos, video and a biography of Cristiane Rozeira here.


Cristiane was also the top scorer in the 2004 Olympics. Her contribution, though, was wasted as Brazil lost to USA by 1-0 for the gold medal spot.

Cristiane Rozeira Biography

As a biography, Cristiane Rozeira was born on May 15, 1985 in Osasco, São Paulo so her age is 23. She started her career with a local club São Bernardo and then debuted for Brazil Under-19 team at the age of 15. She scored one goal in the World Championships, as a substitute, and then was chosen as a member of the national team going to 2003 Women’s World Cup.

Cristiane debuted internationally at the Olympic football tournament in Athens in 2004. While Brazil lost the final to USA by 1-2, she was the top scorer with five goals. She also scored 12 goals in the 2006 Sudamericano Femenino tournament and eight in the Pan-Am games.

Rozeira was chosen as the third-best player during the 2007 Women’s World Cup in which Brazil reached the final for the first time in history. She debuted for top Brazilian club Corinthians this year in August.
