Tennis hottie Maria Sharapova is dating a new guy! Her new boyfriend Charlie Ebersol is a wealthy American and is better known as the son of Dick Ebersol, the guy behind the popular show Saturday Night Live (SNL).
Dick is also the chairman of NBC Sports & Olympics.
Not much is known about Charlie, except that he produced a documentary on South African kids called Ithuteng (Never Stop Learning). He and his father were also involved in a plane crash while going to Notre Dame. While, both of them survived the blast, Charlie lost his brother, Teddy Ebersol, in the mishap. Teddy Ebersol’s Red Sox Fields at Lederman Park is named in his memory.
It is also known that his mother is American actress and activist Susan Saint James who married his father Dick Ebersol after falling in love while guest-hosting Saturday Night Live in 1981.
In my opinion, Maria is looking quite good with the guy in the photo and the fact that the guy is also pretty rich… certainly helps the new relationship!
Sharapova, who is currently the world’s highest-paid female athlete, has reportedly dated Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine in the past. She was even linked to US tennis star Andy Roddick for some time.
The beautiful tennis star is going through a rough patch in her career. First, she missed out on the U.S. Open due to a shoulder injury and now, she’s decided not to play any further in the current season. She is currently ranked 6th in the world.
