Nicole Branagh Is Volleyball Player

Meet Nicole Branagh, an American volleyball player who competed in the Beijing Olympics with her partner Elaine Youngs, a two-time Olympian and the 2004 bronze medalist. See photos, video and a biography of Nicole Branagh here.

Nicole and Youngs reached the finals of AVP Crocs Cup, San Francisco before loosing to Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh. They were seeded second in the tournament.

As a biography, Nicole Branagh was born on January 31, 1979 in Orinda, California so her age is 29. She attended the University of Minnesota and was named twice for the All-America Second Team. she competed in volleyball, basketball and track events from the beginning.

Nicole was a member of the National team from 2001-2003. She won a bronze in the 2003 Pan-American events. Branagh and Youngs won a gold, a silver and two bronze medals in the eight FIVB events that they played together. She was also named as the Most Outstanding Player in the 2007 Swatch FIVB World Tour in Barcelona.

On the AVP Tour, Nicole was named as the Rookie of the Year in 2005 and the Most Improved Player in 2006. She partnered Holly McPeak in the 2006 season. Her serves have been recorded at higher speeds of 48mph.
