Meet Latasha Byears, an American professional basketball player who plays for the Houston Comets team in Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). See photos and a biography of Latasha Byears here.

Latasha has been making headlines both for her activities on the court and off it. She is a self-proclaimed lesbian and has been charged with sexual assault against her own team-mate way back in 2003.

As a biography, Latasha Byears was born on August 12, 1973 in Memphis, Tennessee so her age is 35. She went to high school in Arlington and then attended DePaul University in Chicago averaging 22.8 points.

Byears debuted in WNBA with Sacramento Monarchs and performed pretty well for the next four years. She has also been involved in a lot of controversy for her typical rough play. After that, she was transferred to Los Angeles Sparks.

It was then that she was allegedly involved in the rape incident along with three men and was told to leave the club. The case settled in August 2005 and Latasha made a comeback after almost two years with the Washington Mystics. Currently playing for Houston Comets, she is ranked 8th all-time in field goal percentage (.514) and is also among the top ten re-bounders in the league’s history.

Latasha has also played internationally for CSKA Sofia, a Bulgarian club.
