Meet Raica Oliveira, a Brazilian model who is better known as soccer player Ronaldo’s ex-girlfriend. Very few people know that she is also a reporter for the Portuguese Jornal Record. See photos, video and a biography of Raica Oliveira here.
Raica has dated Ronaldo from 2005 to 2006 and they even planned to get married and have children. She was also said to be keeping the Brazillian footballer away from Inter Milan because she loved Madrid. All this while Raica rose to the top of the modeling scene in the country and is currently the most sought-after model in Brazil.
As a biography, Raica Oliveira was born on January 22, 1984 in Niterói, Brazil so her age is 24. She dreamed of being a model right from the age of 10 and was later spotted by Sergio Mattos, the agent who was also instrumental in making Gisele Bundchen, a super-model. Her measurements are 34-24-35.
It was the Elite Model Look competition in 1999 which truly shaped Oliveira’s life as she beat 30,000 other girls and was sent to Nice for further training. Then, she moved to New York.
Raica walked the Paris and Italy fashion show ramps alongside Maggie Rizer, Oluchi and Karen Elson and has been the face of various brands like Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent, Vogue, Chanel, Victoria’s Secret, Pepe Jeans, JLO, H&M and others. She was also unveiled as the new face of cosmetics company Lancome in 2006. Later on, she appeared in the Sports Illustrated 2007 Calendar and also the Sportsman Of The Year Awards in 2007.
All this while, Oliveira has always been against to pose nude for any magazine or company.
“I could not pose nude. Nothing against those who do, but I never felt right about it. It’s not something that would make me proud.”
Besides her fashion career, the elegant lady was also photographed during the Cannes Film Festival 2008 and has been reporting for the show Hoje em Dia, hosted by a fellow model Ana Hickmann.
In her personal life, she has also dated Ricardo Ortiz, nephew of stylist Lenny Niemeyer, besides Ronaldo. But the couple has now broken up.
Raica is also a part of the charity organization Arte Solidaria fundation.
