Karrie Webb Is Australia’s Best Golfer

Meet Karrie Webb, an Australian golfer who currently tops the rankings in her country and is hailed as one of the best female golfers till date. See photos, video and a biography of Karrie Webb here.

Karrie was selected for the LPGA Hall of Fame in 2005 and is the winner of the Women’s Australian Open this year in February. She currently ranks 14 on the LPGA money list.

As a biography, Karrie Webb was born on 21 December 1974 in Ayr, Queensland so her age is 38. She was a member of the Australian Amateur team and became the Australian Strokeplay Champion in 1994.

This was the year when Karrie started playing professional golf and came second in her first tournament while on the Ladies European Tour. She bacame the youngest winner of Weetabix Women’s British Open in 1995 and was chosen the European Rookie of the Year.

Webb has almost 35 LPGA title to her name and she was also the first person to reach $1m in the prize money in a single season. Her other famous titles include U.S. Women’s Open in 2000 and 2001, Women’s British Open in 2002 and the LPGA Championship in 2001.

Karrie stands 12th on the list of players with the most LPGA titles.
