Can you believe this? New Line Cinema is producing a movie based on Sean Avery’s experience as a summer intern at Vogue. Read the story plus check out more photos and video of Sean below.
I still can’t believe that Sean Avery got a movie deal. Was his summer spent at Vogue Magazine really that interesting? Apparently so. The former New York Ranger now Dallas Stars player will watch his story light up the silver screen in a not yet titled romantic comedy. So New Line Cinema thinks this is going to be a hit? Hmmm. Let’s see what the first weekend box office totals will be.
Avery contacted Vogue editor Anna Wintour about six weeks ago and spoke of his interest in learning the industry. What exactly did he do while at the mag? He answered phone calls, assisted the editors on fashions spreads and was a guest editor of MensVogue.com.
Even growing up he had a penchant for fashion. He told Hollywood Reporter:
“I was always trying to be the best-dressed kid in school.”
He did get razzed for his stint over at Vogue, but added, “I think it’s great to be into something that you care about. But I’m still an athlete who likes to beat the crap out of people.” Spoken in true Avery fashion…heh, no pun intended.
Tell me what you think the title of this movie should be. Add your comments below!
