Severine Bremond, a wild card entrant in the U.S. Open, played Serena Williams earlier today but fell to the No. 4 seed, 6-2, 6-2. Too bad we no longer will see this hottie grace the courts in Flushing.
As a biography, Severine Bremond (nee Beltrame) was born on August 14, 1979 in Montpellier, France. She is 29 years old. She stands 5 feet 7 and weighs 146 pounds.
Severine started her tennis career at 10 years of age. She attended the University of Law of Montpellier, turned pro in 2002, and that year she qualified at Roland Garros.
The following are career highlights by year:
In 2003, she did not qualify for six Tour events, including Wimbledon, the US Open and Roland Garros. She finished the year ranked at No. 144.
2004 saw Severine fall in the first rounds of Roland Garros and Wimbledon. She did make it to the second round of the US Open.
In 2005, she fell in the first round of the Australian Open and the US Open, and made it to the second rounds of Roland Garros and Wimbledon.
2006 was a much better year for Severine, as she reached the quarterfinals at Wimbledon, the second round at the US Open, but fell in the first round of the Australian Open and Roland Garros.
In 2007, Severine fell in the first rounds of the Australian Open and Roland Garros, and only made it to the second round of Wimbledon and the US Open.
Thus far in 2008, she didn’t get past the first round of the Australian Open, Roland Garros or Wimbledon, and was defeated by Serena Williams in the fourth round of the US Open on September 1st, 2008.
