Chris Spielman is Former NFL Linebacker

Chris Spielman, a former NFL linebacker, gave up playing football to aid in his wife Stefanie Spielman’s fight against breast cancer. She died today at the age of 42. Read more below.

Chris is the type of guy who always shied away from taking credit for his heroic actions to help prevent breast cancer. Rather, he always just let his actions speak for them self, and they do.

Ronnie Brown’s Injury: Out For The Year

Unfortunately after his game on Sunday against Tampa Bay, Miami’s running back Ronnie Brown suffered an injury that leaves him off the playing field for a year.

Dustin Reader Bengals Haircut (Photos)

Dustin Reader, Bengals fan extraordinaire, paid homage to his fave football team by sporting a haircut with a “B” and stripes cut into his hair, fashioned like the Bengals helmet. Unfortunately, the 8th grader was suspended when he showed up at school with the ‘do.

Poor kid. Garfield Middle School, which is in Hamilton, Ohio, felt that the haircut violates their conduct code, which includes “extreme and distracting haircuts and hairstyles.”

Three Tennessee Football Players Arrested (Video)

Three Tennessee football players arrested for attempted armed robbery are making headlines today. All three football players were arrested early this morning in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Janzen Jackson, Nu’Keese Richardson, and Mike Edwards were all taken in on suspicion of attempted armed robbery. Jackson and Richardson are considered the crème of the crop of this years recruiting class.

Why shouldn’t Southeastern Conference coaches be able to express their opinion about whether or not the officials did a good job calling the game? I mean, if they did a crummy job and got a few calls wrong, in my opinion, they should be called out on it. It’s the coach’s job to win, and the ref’s job to officiate. So, why should refs be protected from scrutiny if they don’t deliver?

In a lopsided victory over the Georgia Bulldogs today, quarterback Tim Tebow set the new SEC record for rushing TDs. In the process of setting the new mark, the Florida Gators poster boy passed Herschel Walker, who has now been demoted down to second with 49 TDs. Rounding out the top 5 on the exclusive list are Kevin Faulk (#3), Carnell Williams (#4), and Dalton Hilliard (#5).

Sahel Kazemi Text Messages To Steve McNair Revealed

The Sahel Kazemi text messages between herself and Steve McNair have been released. Police in Nashville released a case summary which include 50 of the texts exchanged two hours prior to Kazemi allegedly killing McNair and later killing herself. Read more about the story below.
